Guided by a skilled neuro-linguistic practitioner with proper NPL training, you will subconsciously reveal your problems through your choice of words and how you structure your sentences in response to his questions. By analyzing each word and phrase you use, he can describe your current state of health. Your body language and various facial expressions also have stories to tell.

Once your problems are identified, the next step would be to understand why you have them and what specific preconceived notions about things caused them. These notions will be remodeled and replaced with positive mental associations and thinking patterns. Hopefully, this process will help you achieve successful and positive results.

NLP focuses on positive results. Only concepts and ideas that will work must be considered. Those that do work or are just likely to work are not acceptable. If, for example, you have been doing something for a long time which has not brought you any positive results, it simply does not work for you. You need to try something that has provided other people positive results.

By nature, people have varying perceptions and thought patterns about things. That is why, even if two people have practically the same backgrounds, they can have contrasting fortunes as far as success is concerned. That is why flexibility is very important. You have to be flexible enough to adapt to new models to achieve the same successful results.

NLP is a very powerful tool. However, most of the techniques imparted on NPL training courses can only deliver the desired results if fully accepted and applied with faith. Your attitude has a lot to do with your success. NPL courses can only do so much. Merely saying what you want to achieve with no conviction, even if you mean it, can result to slow progress, at the very best.

Create a mental picture of what you want to become. Associate it with a time you achieved similar success and say it repeatedly with conviction. Have faith and believe it with all your heart. Your brain will then learn to accept and own the thought. Then and only then will you be able to muster enough effort to achieve your goals. For instance, if you are an athlete and you want to reach for the gold, you should visualize your success and relate it to other successes that you have had in the past. Believe in yourself that you can do it and success will surely follow.
