When your relationship has come to an end, you must know how to get through a breakup. If you still love the person, you will no doubt experience pain and sadness. You will lose sleep, appetite and the drive to do things. All you want to do is just cry and lie down on your bed to mourn. It is natural to grieve but it must not take forever to suffer.

Just like phone calls, ignore his or her emails. Restrain yourself from answering messages. It can be tough but it is necessary so that in the end, you will feel better. Once you are over the person, you can then start communicating again. When you are tempted to reply, get as far away from your PC and do something else such as hanging out with your own circle of friends.

It is during a breakup that people can concentrate on their own development. Get a whole body massage so that you would feel good. Enroll in yoga or an exercise class as a workout always makes you feel good due to the release of endorphins or the "happy hormones". Learn a new skill such as driving or swimming so that your mind can focus on other things aside from your loved-one.


Saying goodbye is hard especially to someone who means a lot to you. Always bear in mind though that time heals all wounds and sooner or later you will know how to get through a breakup.
