Brainwave entrainment is a little known yet potentially powerful tool that can help your mind adopt new states of consciousness to help you become a better person inside and out. And among the three kinds of methods available, the isochronic tones are the newest addition to the market, produced after much research and experimentation.

Brainwave entrainment, first of all, is a process of exposing your brain to a repeating stimuli, like sound or light, which induces what is known as the frequency following response (FFR). This response causes the brain to produce its brainwaves in sync with the stimulus repeatedly presented to it, which can either relax or energize it. Isochronic tones are one of the sound stimuli that can produce such an effect on the brain. It is a tone that produces rapidly repeating sound pulses with clear spaces between each.

Isochronic tones may be the most beneficial sound stimuli for you, depending on your needs. Theoretically speaking, they are the most effective method compared to the other two brainwave entrainment methods, the binaural beats and the monaural beats. Binaural beats involve making each ear listen to a different tone that the brain will interpret as a new one to produce FFR, while the monaural uses one tone just like in isochronic, but without the pauses between tones distinct to the latter. The advantage of using isochronic tones is that by using only one tone, the brain wonít have to work to find the correct one, as opposed to the binaural method. And the pauses in between tones of the isochronic method make it easier for the brain to sync with the stimuli. Another advantage is that with the said method, you wonít need to use headphones for your brain to get the tone you want for the brainwave entrainment.

But as with other therapies and their modules, this form of sound stimulus may not be for everyone. They donít work as well as other methods in producing the delta frequency, and unlike binaural beats, they cannot be masked by any other sound source, like music, without being rendered useless.

A good point to remember is that when it comes to the methods for brainwave entrainment, one may work for you better than the other. It is all about testing the choices available to see which one is best for you. As a whole, though, because they make it easier for the brain to sync with the sound waves, the isochronic tones method can be arguably the best method there is so far.
